New York State and the New York State Child Protective System recognize certain professionals as holding the important role of mandated reporter of child abuse or maltreatment. These professionals can be held liable by both the civil and criminal legal systems for intentionally failing to make a report. Click HERE to see the full requirements on the NYS website and a full list of MANDATED REPORTERS
Mandated reporters are required to report instances of suspected child abuse or maltreatment when presented with reasonable cause to suspect child abuse in their professional roles. Once reported, the local Child Protective Services are required to initiate an investigation within 24 hours.
According to WRITTEN testimony from ex-students, child abuse and maltreatment has been going on at the Family Foundation School as far back as the 90's. Why hasn't any staff member reported any abuse in over 10 years?? With clearly abusive situations stated in testimonials on the CAFETY website and in front of congress, school officials and staff are failing to report abuse.
TO REPORT ABUSE CALL: 1-800-342-3720
If you work at the school or have worked at the school, we are appealing to you:
Your testimony from your experience being employed at the school is essential. For this reason, if you are a current or former staff member who was employed at The Family Foundation School, please email us with your testimonial...your identity will be kept completely confidential and not published without your explicit consent.
Although it is illegal for an employer to retaliate, we know that you speaking up may put your job in danger and we want to protect you for doing the right thing. ANY experiences, pictures, or videos that you can obtain showing the abuse that goes on at the Family Foundation School is vital! Please email us at INFO@THEFAMILYSCHOOLTRUTH.COM and we can provide you with the proper resources to report the abuse, or click on the NYS Child Services link above and report abuse.
